A Kindergartner helps save his Faher's life.

Natheniel

A New Jersey kindergartner was able to help save his father’s life on Monday thanks to some quick thinking and a firm grasp of his ABCs.
Nathaniel Dancy Jr. had spent the day going to the movies and buying new shoes for school with his father on Monday afternoon when Nathaniel Dancy Sr. began suffering a stroke and an aneurysm while driving. He was able to pull the car off the highway and into a parking lot but was incapacitated once he stopped the car. The 5-year-old grabbed his father’s phone and called his grandmother, who often takes care of him while his mother works at her job at New Jersey Transit.
“It was very confusing and it was scary,’’ the boy’s grandmother, Susan Hardy-Blackman, told TODAY.com of the incident, originally reported by NBC New York. “I was on the other side of town, and I was just trying to figure out where they were so I could get to them.’’
The distraught boy initially hung up but then called Hardy-Blackman back, and she patched him into a three-way call with her daughter, the boy’s mother, Janel Blackman. Nathaniel was trying to tell them where he was but had trouble pronouncing the name of a nearby store, so they asked him to spell it out. He said, “F-U-R-N-I-T-U-R-E “ and then the number 22. He also said they had just gone through a “tunnel,’’ which was actually a nearby highway overpass.
Hardy-Blackman went to a nearby firehouse and asked if they knew where a furniture store of that name might be, and once they told her, she quickly dialed 911 to tell them where to go while her daughter rushed over to the scene. It turned out Nathaniel and his father were in the parking lot of 22 Furniture Gallery on Route 22 in Hillside, N.J., near their home in Newark.
“My wheels were churning, and I didn't know what to think,’’ Blackman told TODAY.com. “I’m trying to put a mental picture in my brain of where Furniture 22 is. I jumped on the highway, and while I was going past Furniture 22, I saw my husband laid out in the parking lot. Minutes after I arrived on the scene, the ambulance came.

Justin Bieber,Chris Brown, among others hated in America

Many Americans are beginning to see the other side of Justin Bieber. This particular post was initially posted by Huffington post, but Gossiponthis shared it too.Read the brief below

The 19-year-old musical wonderboy is apparently more negatively viewed than his contemporary, arena-selling peers, as the poll checked the favorability ratings of some of music’s biggest names, among them Jay-Z, Rihanna, Justin Timberlake, Adele, and Taylor Swift.
Testings show that Bieber was unfavorably rated by more than half of those polled: 54 percent to be exact. The Canadian-born crooner also achieved the questionable feat of being the only artist whose unfavorability rating stretched across partisan lines. That’s right, a majority of Democrats, Republicans and Independents all reported negative views of the Biebs.
This might come as a surprise to some, most of them being tween girls. Bieber is currently the most followed individual on Twitter (he dethroned Lady Gaga last January), and enjoys sold-out shows worldwide. He did get into some hot water these past few months for questionable behavior (that Anne Frank comment being the prime example), attitude which might have contributed to his low score.
But Bieber might find some solace in the fact that he is not the most negatively viewed artist. Chris Brown, who lost most of the public’s respect after assaulting then-girlfriend Rihanna before the 2009 Grammys, scored an unfavorable rating of 57 percent. To the question “Should Rihanna get back with Chris Brown,” an overwhelming 67 percent replied “no.”

Study Shows These Majors Are Becoming Less Marketable

 Culled from YahooEducation

Major #1: Architecture

Did your son or daughter gravitate toward Legos as a kid and find skyscrapers endlessly fascinating? Sure, toying with building blocks and forts may have been fun, but nailing down steady work as an architect these days is no cake walk for a recent grad.
According to the Georgetown report, the unemployment rate for recent architecture graduates is about 13.9 percent. Essentially, the report blames this figure on the collapse of the construction industry during the recession.
Reynaldo agrees. "Companies just aren't building in tough financial times," he says. So in terms of architecture jobs, the current low demand may mean fewer jobs.

Major #2: Fine Arts

Imagine your son creating magnificent pieces of art that are featured in well-known galleries. It's a nice fantasy - right up until your newly-minted college graduate realizes how broke he is because he isn't selling work, exhibiting in a gallery, or getting commissions.
The sad truth, is that this isn't 15th-century Renaissance Italy when artists were paid by kings and queens to create artwork. In fact,  according to the Georgetown report, there's a 12.6 percent rate of unemployment amongst recent graduates who majored in fine arts.
Here's why: In these tough economic times, there just aren't a lot of people buying expensive pieces of art, Reynaldo says. So it can be tough to be a self-sustained, financially-stable artist.
All things considered, your kid is probably better off relegating this field of study to a hobby.

Major #3: Philosophy and Religious Studies

I think, therefore I am. Too bad Descartes' famous little ditty doesn't carry as much weight when it comes to snagging a job with a degree in philosophy or religious studies. Get ready to sweat if your son or daughter chooses one of these heady courses of study.
Why? It turns out recent grads in philosophy and religious studies face a 10.8 percent unemployment rate, says the Georgetown report.
And unless you plan on continuing on to grad school and working as a philosophy professor, Reynaldo says that the problem with philosophy is that the principles behind it - questioning existence, thinking about knowledge - are perceived as "useless" in the workforce.
"The question becomes how do I articulate the value of all the deep thinking I do to an employer." Not exactly an easy question to tackle. The same limitations are true of majoring in religious studies, he says.

Major #4: Anthropology and Archaeology

Indiana Jones may have looked cool on the big screen, but going into the fields of anthropology or archaeology won't be a blockbuster hit for your kid in the job department. The reality, according to the Georgetown report, is that recent anthropology and archaeology graduates report a 10.5 percent unemployment rate.
Why is this number so high? It all goes back to the same problem of having skills that are perceived as valuable in the working world - assuming you're not trying to get a job as an anthropologist or archaeologist. While you'll likely pick up skills during your course of study that could be applied to other jobs outside of these majors, good luck getting that across in a job application or interview when you say you studied anthropology, says Reynaldo.
"Again, like other liberal arts majors, you're being taught how to think but it's just not perceived that way by employers," says Reynaldo. "So these majors often end up getting shafted."

Major #5: Film, Video, and Photographic Arts

Do you have a budding Spielberg or Ansel Adams on your hands? While filmmaking and photography can be great artistic outlets, they might not be the best choices for your son or daughter's college major.
Recent graduates with these types of degrees experience about a 12.9 percent unemployment rate, says the Georgetown report.
Reynaldo likens this figure to the fact that while film and photography have the skill of story creation at their core, they might not be the most lucrative fields for monetizing those storytelling skills.
And if you're not using those storytelling skills, you need to make money somehow. But it can be difficult, according to Reynaldo, to convince employers that those skills translate into a practical approach to an office job or otherwise because your field of study is often pigeonholed as artistic and outside the "real" world

Who is the strongest?

This photo is so funny to me.Dont know who appears to be stronger amongst them both.

Sinking home

Sinking home

Scott and Robin Spivey had a sinking feeling that something was wrong with their home when cracks began snaking across their walls in March.

The cracks soon turned into gaping fractures, and within two weeks their 600-square-foot garage broke from the house and the entire property — manicured lawn and all — dropped 10 feet below the street.

It wasn't long before the houses on both sides collapsed as the ground gave way in the Spivey's neighborhood in Lake County, about 100 miles north of San Francisco.

CPC migrates to APC

The National Leader of the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), Alhaji Muhammadu Buhari, on Saturday in Abuja announced that the party had dissolved into the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Buhari, who made the announcement at the mid-term convention of the party, said the merger process by opposition parties of like minds was on course.
He said, "We must explore every opportunity to save our country. This is a historic moment when several different political parties have resolved to come together to change Nigeria for the better.
"We must seize this moment that calls for patriotism and sacrifice; it is time to sacrifice everything such as time, resources, ambition and ego for greater tomorrow.''
Buhari appealed for support of the merger of opposition political parties, in order to move Nigeria forward.
The CPC National Chairman, Chief Tony Momoh, who also spoke at the convention, said that it was the last convention of the party.
Momoh said, "We have had alliances, coalitions and other arrangements, but not merger in this country.
"That is why the decision by the progressive elite in Nigeria to come together to merger will work as planned.''
He attributed the success of the merger to the sacrifice, patriotism, dedication, seriousness and nationalism exhibited by the leaders of the various political parties.
Pastor Tunde Bakare, the CPC presidential running mate in 2011 election, said that merger of political parties was not a gang-up, but a constitutional democratic process.
He said that the outcome of series of talks between ACN, CPC, ANPP and APGA resulted in the merger to form APC, that would soon metamorphose into a political party
Dr Hassan Lawal, the Chairman, National Convention Committee said the merger would be the beginning of a solid foundation for the future generations of Nigerians.
According to him, the next step after dissolving into the APC was to make necessary presentations to INEC for formal registration as a political party.
Gov. Rochas Okorocha of Imo later told newsmen that he was not guilty of anti-party activities by participating in the merger process of some political parties as the APGA constitution recognised the existence of factions.
Okorocha said that his participation in the merger process was an indication that "my own faction of APGA is in APC''.
He was among the governors, who attended the CPC Mid-term convention in Abuja on Saturday, during which the party dissolved into APC.
Okorocha was reacting to calls for his expulsion from APGA because of his support for the new  All Progressives Congress (APC).

Love quote of the day.

''Never say I love you, if you don't really care...never talk about feelings, if they aren't really there...never touch a life, if you mean to break a heart...never say you're going to, if you don't plan to start...never look me in they eye, when all you do is lie...never say hello, if you really mean good-bye."

Wearing coloured dresses on wedding day.

I dont know if this is actually becoming a new trend or what.Ladies now wears coloured dresses on their wedding days not the ceremonial white or milk coloured dress.

Though these dresses look wonderful on them,l still think the ceremonial white or its shades still steals the wedding glamour and adds shine to the ceremony.
