An Area Court sitting in Karu, Abuja, has ordered that one Yahaya Tunawa, be remanded in prison, for allegedly slapping a police officer who was on duty.

Presiding judge, Alhaji Umar Kagarko, ordered that Tunawa be remanded in Keffi Medium Prison till 13 November.

Kagarko, who refused to admit the accused to bail, ordered the prosecution to produce all witnesses in the case.

The police prosecutor, Insp. Phillip Akogwu told the court that the matter was reported at the Karu police Station, by one Fidelis Eke, on 18 September.

He said that the accused slapped ASP Jeremiah Okporo, who was sent to settle an argument between Eke and the accused.

Akogwu told the court that the accused slapped Okoro twice and also resisted arrest. Hmmmmm

The offence he said contravened sections 327, 172, and 267 of the Penal Code.

Tunawa pleaded not guilty..

Sheyyy,what do you think???
